4th March 2006 - New version of Email Client Available

• The latest version of the GroupWise and Outlook Integration client are now available from this site. This client allows you to receive your voicemail messages via your GroupWise Inbox. This is a much more convenient mechanism than the telephone. See the Voicemail section for details.

12th January 2006 - Decision not to reprint the paper based Telephone Directory

• While it is accepted that the current paper based "Internal Telephone Directory" is totally out of date, the high cost of re-printing (over R250 000) plus the current, extremely high rate of change as users move around, has resulted in the decision to not print a new "Internal Telephone Directory" for the foreseeable future.
• To compensate, the Alphabetic section is now available online and can be searched very readily. The ICT Division has enabled the link to the Online Directory and installed this link on everyone's PC Desktop. If you do not have the link on your desktop and would like it, please contact the ICT HelpDesk on 2481. The Directory can be found at http://phonebook.ukzn.ac.za .
• The Classified section will also be placed on the web site later in the year once the rate of staff movement has abated enough to give the Telephone Department a chance to breathe!
